Gentle breeze — Little Play Square
What's on the screen
A sky, a meadow and a pond, with dandelion seeds floating about, a pinwheel and a little boat. There are no buttons to press.
How to play
Sweep a finger anywhere on the screen and the wind blows that way: the seeds drift, the pinwheel turns and the boat moves along. The faster the sweep, the stronger the wind, and after a moment it dies down. A simple tap works too, and the wind then blows from the side the finger is on. When the seeds or the boat leave the screen, they come back from the other side, so they are never used up.
This game sits in Games for ages 0 and 1. The age is only a guide, so children older than that and children younger than that are just as welcome to play it.
What this game doesn't have
- Time limits and scoresThere is no countdown, no score and no run of days in a row.
- Game overThere is no state that stops a child from going on. You can stop the moment interest runs out.
- Ads and purchasesNothing can be pressed by mistake that carries a child off to another site.
- Text fieldsNo name and no email address is ever asked for. There is no sign-up either.
How to start
Just open Little Play Square and pick the Gentle breeze picture on the home screen. Once it has finished loading, it starts up the same way in places with no signal. Sound is switched with the speaker mark on the home screen (it steps through normal, off and quiet, so the first press turns it off).
More from Games for ages 0 and 1
- Fingertip butterfly — Rest a finger on the screen and wait, and the butterfly flutters over, settles on your fingertip and slowly opens and closes its wings. Move the finger and it flutters away to rest on a flower. Nothing is counted, and there is no ending.
- Vehicles — Touch a car or a train and it sets off. There is no destination and no order; they can run as many times as you like.
- Catch stars — A falling star turns into a sparkle where a finger meets it. Missing one takes nothing away.
