Color blending — Little Play Square
What's on the screen
6 paint balls in red, yellow, blue, white, teal and grape sit in a grid. There are no other buttons to press.
How to play
Pick up a ball, lay it on another ball and let go: the two mix into one bigger ball in a color set by the pair, such as orange, green, purple or pink (mixing with white makes a pale color). Pressing one ball to choose it and then pressing the other mixes them too. Press the mixed ball and it splits back into the two it came from, and each slides back to its place. If two other balls are put together while a mixed ball is still there, the mixed ball splits first and then the new pair mixes. A ball let go anywhere else just slides back to its place, and there is no right answer and no mistake.
This game sits in Games for 2-year-olds. The age is only a guide, so children older than that and children younger than that are just as welcome to play it.
What this game doesn't have
- Time limits and scoresThere is no countdown, no score and no run of days in a row.
- Game overThere is no state that stops a child from going on. You can stop the moment interest runs out.
- Ads and purchasesNothing can be pressed by mistake that carries a child off to another site.
- Text fieldsNo name and no email address is ever asked for. There is no sign-up either.
How to start
Just open Little Play Square and pick the Color blending picture on the home screen. Once it has finished loading, it starts up the same way in places with no signal. Sound is switched with the speaker mark on the home screen (it steps through normal, off and quiet, so the first press turns it off).
More from Games for 2-year-olds
- Fit the shapes — Carry the circle, triangle and square to the hole of the same shape. Coming near the hole is enough; nothing has to line up exactly.
- Catch the fruit — Touch anywhere on the screen and the basket moves there. Fruit that is not caught never costs anything.
- Fishing — A swimming fish is reeled up when a finger meets it. There is no time limit, and it can go on for as many fish as you like.
