Crack the egg — Little Play Square
What's on the screen
2 eggs stand side by side. There are 3 kinds of animal that can be born from inside, a chick, a turtle and a little bird, and which one comes out changes every time.
How to play
Each press on an egg adds 1 more crack, and on the 3rd press it breaks open and the animal is born. After a little while a new egg comes back, so it can go on as long as you like.
This game sits in Games for ages 0 and 1. The age is only a guide, so children older than that and children younger than that are just as welcome to play it.
What this game doesn't have
- Time limits and scoresThere is no countdown, no score and no run of days in a row.
- Game overThere is no state that stops a child from going on. You can stop the moment interest runs out.
- Ads and purchasesNothing can be pressed by mistake that carries a child off to another site.
- Text fieldsNo name and no email address is ever asked for. There is no sign-up either.
How to start
Just open Little Play Square and pick the Crack the egg picture on the home screen. Once it has finished loading, it starts up the same way in places with no signal. Sound is switched with the speaker mark on the home screen (it steps through normal, off and quiet, so the first press turns it off).
More from Games for ages 0 and 1
- Inflate the ring — Rest a finger on the ring and it puffs up a little at a time for as long as you hold. Let go and it simply stops there — it never shrinks back and nothing has to be started over.
- Soft strokes — Stroke the fluffy fur, the water or the sand with a finger: the fur leans and springs back, ripples spread across the water, and a groove stays in the sand and slowly fills in. The same movement brings a different answer and sound depending on where you touch. There is nothing to aim at and no ending.
- Animal sounds — Touch an animal picture and its voice and its movement come back. Every voice is a synthesized sound.
