Tidy up — Little Play Square
What's on the screen
3 kinds of toy and 3 kinds of fruit are scattered over the floor. There are 2 boxes to put them away in.
How to play
Pick something up and carry it to the box whose picture matches. Put it in the other box and it simply goes back where it was.
This game sits in Games for 2-year-olds. The age is only a guide, so children older than that and children younger than that are just as welcome to play it.
What this game doesn't have
- Time limits and scoresThere is no countdown, no score and no run of days in a row.
- Game overThere is no state that stops a child from going on. You can stop the moment interest runs out.
- Ads and purchasesNothing can be pressed by mistake that carries a child off to another site.
- Text fieldsNo name and no email address is ever asked for. There is no sign-up either.
How to start
Just open Little Play Square and pick the Tidy up picture on the home screen. Once it has finished loading, it starts up the same way in places with no signal. Sound is switched with the speaker mark on the home screen (it steps through normal, off and quiet, so the first press turns it off).
More from Games for 2-year-olds
- Mirror drawing — Draw on one side of the fold down the middle of a white page and the same line appears on the other side, like a mirror. Lift your fingers and wait a moment, and the picture folds shut, opens again and flies off as a butterfly. The page is blank again right away, and the next picture comes in another color.
- Picture book — Swipe a picture page sideways and it turns, and a little story moves along: an egg, a chick coming out of the shell, the chick walking, and the chick meeting its mother. Touching the thing on each page makes it wobble, hop or walk, with a sound. There are no words, and after the last page the book starts again from the first.
- Ensemble — Tap one of the 3 animals on the stage and it plays a short tune once, then stops. Tap another while it is playing and its part joins in from the next beat, so the sounds stack up into a little band. Every mix fits, and there is no score and no celebration at the end.
